Welcome to my blog! I will be featuring regular blog updates regarding online poker. In this post I will discuss Tiger Gaming, one of the sites on Action Poker. Please note that this site is not open to U.S. citizens.

Tiger Gaming features a clean looking site that is easy on the eyes. Similar to the PokerStars bonus code, the bonus is generous, and it is not too difficult to clear. You should find the customer support quite accommodating during times of need. Tiger Gaming stands out because it offers a few special games that you won’t find in any other poker room. Included in these games are Guts, Big 2, Chinese Poker, and Pan. This isn’t a casino so there’s no Internet slots here, but the other games are so fun that you won’t want to waste your time with casino games anymore.

I haven’t talked about actual poker yet! Tiger Gaming offers Texas Hold’em in both No Limit and Limit, Omaha and 7 Card Stud (an unpopular choice for some reason).

Tiger Gaming has recently been advertising aggressively in Canada, telling people to try online poker in commercials airing on TSN, Rogers Sportsnet and The Score. It looks like they thought that Canada is full of people interested in money poker sites. Because of this, many of the players on the site are Canadian, and they don’t have lot of experience at the game.

Traffic can be bad at times, especially at 50NL+ and 1/2+. If you’re new to download free poker sites, though, you’ll find plenty of company below 50NL. It is common for there to be between three and six NL25 tables open and between four and eight NL5 tables. The same can’t be said for finding 50NL tables. If you are lucky there will be one open, on rare occasions two tables. Those looking for 100NL will be even more disappointed. Sometimes there will be a NL100 available but very rarely. The site does offer stakes up to $1000NL but I have never seen the game actually happen, so players at these stakes will need to download Full Tilt Poker.

I also have to admit that the traffic for games other than Hold’em is quite bad. 7 Card Stud is available for those interested, but its tables remain empty day after day. Omaha is not quite as bad. Occasionally there is one table of Omaha running, and it’s usually Pot Limit with 20 cent blinds. If you enjoy these non-Hold’em games, you might need to download PokerStars instead. If we’re talking about the unique games (like Big 2), you’ll almost for sure find them running during peak hours. Since Tiger is the only place you can play them, the traffic is reasonable. My favorite game, Guts, often runs two or three tables at once, and the minimum bet is usually from 10 to 50 cents.

Overall, the action on Tiger Gaming is not good but if you are a lower stakes player, it is not bad either. If you’re new to poker, you should first build a bankroll at Tiger and then plan to get the Bwin Poker download when you want some stiffer competition.

I hope you enjoyed my blog today! In a couple weeks I’ll write about the interface at Tiger.
